Bars and Restaurants
Le Serac
For a family-friendly dining experience we recommend Le Serac. The restaurant is always busy and specialises in Savoyarde dishes, pizzas and has a great kids’ menu, all at reasonable prices. During the peak-season we advise you call in advance to make a reservation.
Relais Septimontain
We’ve enjoyed several meals at the Relais Septimontain and they do some great deals on lunchtime meals as well as evening. It’s a spacious restaurant and we find that when everywhere else is full they can always squeeze a couple more in. For more information and to see the menu check out the website.
L’Estanco
L’Estanco is a favourite with locals and holidaymakers. Managed and operated by the lovely people from Lou Caboens at Samoens 1600, the restaurant operates with a menu that changes seasonally. In the Summer enjoy the large sunny terrace.
Big Bear Lounge
Big Bear Lounge is located in the old village square, opposite the Ecrins apartment complex. With it’s cool, contemporary style and tasty lunch menu and evening platters, it’s a great place for apres! The staff are friendly, and they have an excellent selection of hot and cold drinks.
Le Lodge
A perfect restaurant for fine dining. Le Lodge is located in the Ecrins apartment complex on the ground floor. At present, this is Samoëns only Michelin recommended restaurant. Menu changes seasonally. It’s always busy so do make a reservation in advance, as it’s popular all year.
La Table De Fifine
Another great option for fine dining. La Table De Fifine is a short walk from the GME gondola and oozes Savoyarde charm. A fantastic menu, extensive wine list, friendly staff and an enviable edge of the village location all contribute to ensure you have an amazing dining experience.
The place 2 Be
The place 2 Be is very popular with both locals and holidaymakers. Opposite SKILOC and the Jaysinia bakery, the bar has 2 floors, an outdoor terrace that catches the afternoon sun, and friendly staff. The charcuterie platters are huge and great value for money.
Bar Le Savoie
Good selection of local beers/wines, and mix of traditional Savoyard menu, great salads and burgers/steaks. Bar Le Savoie does not take reservations, so it’s a good option when everywhere else is booked.
La Canette
La Canette is located opposite Les Glaciers at the foot of the village. Open for lunch and evening throughout the season, they serve excellent burgers, tasty fries, great ales and have two floors of seating space and an outside terrace in the Summer. Perfect for a bite after an apres ski or hike.
Natsuki
New to Samoens for 2021, this fantastic sushi takeaway also specialises in Bento dishes, which change daily. Good selection of vegetarian options. Natsuki Sushi and Bento is licensed to sell sake and Japanese imported beers.
